Almir Reis was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1968. He started his photographic work in 2000 and attended the School of Fine Arts “Parque Lage” in Rio de Janeiro.

Today he has his curriculum exhibitions in different parts of the world like Munich, Paris, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Peru, Washington, Islamabad, Portugal, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro.

Restless and creative, he loves to test new experiences in montages, collages, and reproductions, developing the image to achieve a sensitive result with authorial identity.

Currently, with his new works that mix painting and photography, Almir explores images and angles, adding technological and architectural resources, causing unusual and striking results—inventing and reinventing.

Almir is based in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
